Java Developer

vCatch - is a system for handling electronic logbooks for fishing vessels designed to be used by fisheries authorities for catch effort registration. The solution drastically simplifies the whole process of fishing activities registration as logbook master on the fishing vessels just need to make a few entries into the electronic logbook and submit them at regular intervals to a Fishery Monitoring Center where it’s stored and can be used for further data analysis and statistical use.

Technology stack:

Java 8, Maven, Spring, Oracle, Hibernate, Jboss, JSF, SWT, EJB, JSM, REST, SOAP, GIT. 

In this role, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to implement Java software requirements, develop new features, fix bugs, and oversee the management of deployment pipelines for smooth and timely software updates;
  • Share your expertise with colleagues while also learning from their experiences;
  • Lead seamless tech-stack migration to improve system performance and functionality;
  • Participate in daily meetings, communicate with the client, and perform code reviews;
  • Be part of an international team that is responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing, and launching.

What do we expect? 

  • 3+ years of work experience as a Java Developer;
  • Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot;
  • Experience with Java 8;
  • Experience with Rest API;
  • Verbal and written fluency in English and Lithuanian.
